CPIM Westbengal State committee to Organize Movement on People’s Problems

The West Bengal State Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has called for consolidating maximum possible number of common people to intensify the campaign movement dealing with the problems of daily life on Left Front’s call. It has been decided in the party State Committee meeting held at the Muzaffar Ahmed Bhaban on 3rd November that the movement would continue during the whole month of November and December of this year.

The press statement circulated by the party has informed that this meeting has discussed in details about the daily problems of common people of this state. Already the party had given a call to set for a propaganda movement; the state Left Front committee has called to consolidate popular mass from village to district level campaign to intensify the movement during the whole month of November and December.

Polit Bureau member Surja Kanta Mishra presided over the meeting, Biman Basu concluding the meeting said that to make this movement successful the party has to be more organized, the concerned party committees has to increase their functionality and emphasis has to be given to elevate the ideological-political understanding of the young supporters and to include them in the party organization with utmost importance. He said that the mass organizations must set to increase their accountability retaining their mass character. 27 mass organizations have decided to launch a joint campaign movement based on 13 key demands that strengthen party’s call.

The State Committee has opined that every communist should confidently contest in the coming phase of municipal elections and make sure that Left Front’s propaganda reaches the common people.

The State committee has called to increase the popular subscription and readership of party organ and journals to combat with the anti-communist campaign within the society.
